Amazing scenery, excellent guide , beautiful weather-couldn’t ask for more
It was a really amazing experience especially because we had an incredibly knowledgeable guide who pointed out different species of plants and animals. The hiking part was just right, and Carlos our guide made it more interesting and enjoyable. He was also very well versed in the history of the place . The restaurant stop was also quite an experience-we had the classic alheira washed down with excellent green wine . I give this 10 stars .

"National Park Tours gave us an unforgettable hiking experience! We spent two incredible days exploring Peneda-Gerês National Park and the surrounding areas with our guide, Carlos. His deep knowledge of local wildlife, plants, and regional history truly enriched our journey. The hikes with Carlos were the highlight of our trip to Portugal. Not only were the landscapes breathtaking, but we also came away with a much deeper appreciation for the area's culture and natural beauty. Nature in primeval condition.
A very interesting and varied route, with different landscapes, accessible roads, changing environments. interesting to travel the Roman road, the remains of the bridges, the oak forests. A Carlos Guide, pending everything. attentive to show us every detail of the environments, plants, minerals, history. the excursion is highly recommended. We found several cows with their calves, which did not pose any problem to continue the tour.

Great experience , accommodating and Knowledgeable guides
Carlos was super knowledgeable and helpful during this trek. We changed the plan last minute and he was very accommodating of the change in routes and took us through a beautiful 8km trek. Often there were no other trekkers but us. At the end he went out of his way to show us more of the park and scenic route home. The team was organized with equipment such as hiking poles. Very professional and overall highly recommend .

Samuel was an excellent, knowledgeable and engaging tour guide. We had a great time on our hike and enjoyed everything he shared with us about the park, the region, the flora and fauna. The fact that he grew up here and lives here was very meaningful because you can tell how much he loves and cares for the park.

The best tour of Peneda-Geres ever!
My husband and I started our Portugal trip heading straight to the Park from our flight in Lisbon. After a day of rest, Carlos picked us up for a 3 day adventure with him, hiking and sight seeing throughout the park and even a tad in Spain! Carlos was fun, informative and a great host along with being a great driver on some of those narrow mountain roads! We highly recommend this company for quality of experience, value for your time and money. It is an experience we will never forget and we thank Carlos and Samuel for their professionalism, organization and efficiency in arranging 3 memorable days for us! A time these Candians will never forget!

Amazing Day - Brilliant from start to finish
Carlos was a fantastic guide - very helpful and a fountain of knowledge about all of the local plants, animals, history, and architecture. A true Renaissance man! He made the trip so enjoyable. I came with my parents and he seamlessly catered the trip to match their interests and activity level. The park itself is so beautiful and has so much variety - having a knowledgeable tour guide allowed us to see so much of what it had to offer. I would recommend this to anyone.

Great for nature buffs!
Our private tour guide Carlos Silva picked us up at our Porto hotel and drove us to and from the only national park in Portugal, which borders Spain. Carlos was extremely informative and great company! We had a wonderful hike among the beautiful mountains and waterways.

Lovely day in a lovely national park.
Carlos was an excellent guide. Very informative especially regarding the local flora, fauna and history. We got to walk along Roman road. The park is gorgeous. Lunch and bottled water not included so pack your own or plan to stop at local restaurant.

Fantastic day in the national park
I did a one day hiking tour of Peneda Gerês with National Park Tours and it was fantastic. My guide, Carlos, was great. He knew everything about the park and I learned a lot. He also took me to a lot of spots that I wouldn't have found on my own. National Park Tours was also very accommodating of my request to pick me up in Ponte de Lima and drop me off in Porto at the end of the day. My only regret was not booking a multi-day trip with National Park Tours. Next time!
